It's hard to know what's more impressive here. The precision engineered tools used to make this nuclear power plant core, or the meticulously completed core itself. From the large housing that will contain the fuel rods to the perfectly rounded and polished conduits for the water, the cables and the seeming endless stream of coloured wires that wouldn't look out of place in a telephone exchange, we are shown the astonishing degree of accuracy involved in the construction of this, Germany's first nuclear power plant 1961. I didn't love the slightly doom-laden score from Oskar Sala and it's a very dry presentation, but it's still an effective display of mankind's ability to innovate.
